Its Warm Tonight in Barca
A very warm and humid 25 degrees C in Barca this evening. A pleasant stroll down Las Ramblas and a beer in Place de Catalunya. Its busy around there, but much quieter as I head back to NH Masters hotel (can't decide if that makes me sound more like a Bond villain or the baddy in Dr Who).
Here We Go Again - But A Different View
This is my 4th VMWORLD - 2007 San Fran, 2008 Cannes, 2010 Copenhagen and now 2012 Barcelona.
Each of the 3 previous visits were as a customer, but now I'm working for Dell I'm mixing booth duty with some of the sessions. Hoping for some great engagement with customers new and existing - on the booth and during the more relaxed evening events.
Dell and Wyse are sharing a booth this year - rightly reflecting Wyse joining the Dell family of Enterprise level solutions. We're also highlighting our converged infrastructure solutions - particularly vStart pre-configured virtualisation solutions and the M420 quarter height blade with storage blade option. 32 x 2 socket servers in 10U.
